WHAT IS MONKEY BUTLER?

Monkey Butler Improv is a nonprofit comedy company that began in Los Angeles in 2007 and currently lives in Denver and Boulder. After having taken classes and graduating from the Groundlings, UCB, iO WEST programs, the founders at MB wished they could be a part of an organization that gives back to the community. So, MB became that organization because it’s fun & it’s nice to give back. We are a local community of improvisors who host weekly workshops and pop-up shows and performances. No matter your skill or experience level, we invite you to join one of our FREE weekly workshops and learn more about our troupes.

HOW ARE THE WORKSHOPS SET UP? ARE THERE LEVELS?

The improv workshops are set up to give each student the best possible training at the most appropriate level of instruction for their skill level. Currently there are five different levels of workshops and all new players must begin in our Level 1, Foundations class. If you are interested in advancement, please ask your instructor to assess your performance and let you know if you should stay at Level 1 or move onto a higher level. Once you move into another level, the student begins a 3-Week Trial Period for the teacher to assess whether you should continue at the higher level or go back to the previous one for more training. Players are eligible for graduation to higher levels upon completion of their current level curriculum.

How do I book you for my event?

Monkey Butler’s Mainstage team is an experienced group of improvisors whom you can book for your next event! You can either book us for a performance or a private workshop. Our workshops are great team building events for business teams or friends. If you book us to perform at your event, be sure to ask how we can personalize the show to your company or audience.
